INLET BOX TYPE
FAN CONTROLLERS
This proven range of Inlet Box Control Dampers is in use in many industries. This type of device works by deflecting the incoming gas to one side of the inlet box which produces a swirl at the fan inlet by conservation of angular momentum as the gas is drawn into the fan inlet.
The frame or case is made by forming channel sections to give integral flanges. This gives strength with minimum weight, coupled with good rigidity. The blades are braced for stiffness.
The damper features large diameter shafts which are welded to the blades. There is therefore no possibility of the blades becoming detached and falling into the fan. The operating levers are keyed to the shafts to guarantee linkage alignment.
For use at elevated temperatures, the bearings and linkage are stood off to allow the unit to be lagged
